Nicole Kidman’s CMA Gown More Miami than Nashville
As I look at this photo of the Ex-Mrs. Cruise, I’m wondering whether the hand Nicole Kidman is holding is that of Crockett or Tubbs. Gawd knows it can’t be Keith Urban and this can’t be the Country Music Awards, because goldamn, she looks more like she’s in Miami circa 1980-something than in present-day Countryville.
So here I was, dahlings, innocently enjoying my fifth cup of spiked coffee, when suddenly my mind is assaulted with Don Johnson flashbacks - white suits and pastel tees, shoes sans socks, yanno, those kinds of images. Ack!
Now, I will say, loves, that this dress is perty. It’s fresh and funky and complements her coloring and kick-ass shoulder structure well. Plus, it reminds me of a tropical sunset, which is always a good thing. But it would seem that a country music awards show is not the most proper place to wear such a frock. It’s just far too South Beach for those down-home folks in the hills. A beautiful champagne or wine color would have been both seasonally-appropriate and more fitting for an awards show such as the CMAs.
So what say you, my dahlings? Do you likey or do you agree that Nic made an uber-bad choice here?

I don’t think it’s too terrible…but then again, I’m biased because I simply adore her.

I was always a Crocket fan! See, I like the dress.
It reminds me of a calming dusk. Anything she wears looks great to me, esp hanging on to keith’s hand. AHHH, he’s a hottie pot totie!

Yeah, I dig the dress, too (reread above). Just not for this particular event.
